As part of my role at Modern Luxury Media, I was actively involved in the coordination and execution of Art of the Party, one of the most high-profile events during Art Basel 2024 at the Fontainebleau. My role encompassed pre-event planning, VIP guest management, artist accommodations, and event breakdown, ensuring a seamless and well-executed experience.
Pre-Event Planning & Setup
Created a mood board to establish the aesthetic vision and branding direction of the event.
Organized and packed essential inventory, including alcohol, lighting, directional signage, frames, wristbands, and VIP lanyards.
Arrived at Fontainebleau early to set up and coordinate all logistics efficiently.
Managed guest list updates in Splash, a check-in system for VIP guests, ensuring accuracy and smooth entry processing.
On-Site Event Coordination
Managed VIP check-in, handling a guest list of approximately 1,000 attendees while resolving issues professionally and efficiently.
Dealt with difficult VIP guests, using conflict resolution skills to ensure a smooth check-in experience without escalation.
Assisted Chance the Rapper’s publicist with coordinating his team’s accommodations and event logistics.
Facilitated Chance the Rapper’s arrival and performance arrangements, ensuring his team had everything they needed and guiding them through the event schedule.
Provided real-time problem-solving for high-profile attendees, ensuring a seamless and exclusive experience for VIPs.
Post-Event Breakdown
Gathered and accounted for all event inventory, ensuring nothing was misplaced.
Coordinated with the Fontainebleau building manager to locate and store materials post-event.
